A not-for-profit community radio station broadcasting live from Bangkok, Thailand Our slogan "Support your local"
In this project, I took on the role of both Designer and Co-Founder of Durian Radio, a non-profit community based in Bangkok.
The core concept behind the design came from my frustration with conventional website designs that often feel repetitive and uninspiring. I wanted to challenge those norms by exploring new visual and interaction approaches, drawing inspiration from my everyday surroundings and the Thai culture I grew up in.
The result is a design that blends multiple influences into a cohesive whole—layered, expressive, and imperfect in a way that feels distinctly Thai. Rather than following strict design rules, the project embraces contrast, cultural texture, and emotional familiarity.
What truly stood out after the launch was that the project was selected to be featured on FOOTER.DESIGN, a design inspiration platform that showcases work breaking away from conventional patterns.
I personally received a message from the platform’s founder, who appreciated our intention to challenge existing rules and create something meaningfully different.
I hope this project can serve as inspiration for designers who want to step outside familiar frameworks and experiment with new ways of thinking, designing, and expressing cultural identity through digital experiences.
